Take a boy from Jersey. He’s now in Denver, but we’ll stick with Jersey to keep some sort of theme to this story. He grows up to become an international man of mystery whose musical genius, eclectic taste for all things amazing, and unsurpassed ability to fist pump has made his edits and tracks a staple for many a disco fan.
Nesting 3 labels, countless pressings and more monikers under his wing than an East Village swingers party, Gazeebo needs little introduction. Pushing his wares for the best part of the last decade, this beautiful stranger knows a thing or two about disco – pressing the first of his tunes back in 2000. Since that time, he has carved out his own little corner of the re-edits world. Eloping, and subsequently returning from a brief hiatus throughout the middle of the 2000′s (to host the infamous Denver house-music love-in ‘Community‘), Gazeebo placed his black-plastic dreams back on the main burner, re-sequenced his studio and started pressing once again.
Warm and rich. Gazeebo’s productions have more bite than the most vintage of cheeses. Blended to perfection, and served on a 12″ platter. This time however, it’s all about circuits. When this arrived yesterday, our inboxes trembled with digital delight – 72 minutes 03 seconds of Gazeebo at his best. It’s one of those mixes that a part of you doesn’t really want to share, while the other part knows that you have to. It’s that good.
