Ichisan is Igor Skafar, one of the most prominent Slovenian photographers, who started his relationship with music playing guitar in various bands. He has later developed preference for electronic sounds, which he blends with his organic feel and started producing his own projects. In March 2008 he released his long awaited debut solo 12’’ on London’s Airtight Recordings called Global Pillage. With this release Ichisan received considerable recognition pinning him alongside greats such as Bjorn Torske, Pete Herbert, Prins Thomas, Aeroplane and many more.
Ichisan’s remixology includes a remix for legendary 70’s French band Space – “Just Blue” (Nang Records), remix of Mario Basanov’s “Caribbean Girl” (Under The Shade/jJscomusic) and a remix of Acos Coolkas’s “Free flight” (Nang Records), which was TIRK’S Records bestselling track in 2009.
Ichisan is also working on a duo project with friend Ule Nakova, called Ichisan & Nakova. The duo already has several releases on Italian label Pizzico records, their first album “Yugo Tempo” was released earlier this year by our friends over at Nang Records.
